Councillors Needed
(please click for more information)
The Parish Council has an allocation of 14 seats, however, only 6 are taken at this time resulting in 8 vacancies.
This can create issues on occasion for meetings to be quorate, plus most importantly properly representing the four Parishes which make up Pixley & District.

Meetings are held bi-monthly at Munsley WI Hall and typically take about 1-2 hrs covering a large range of issues. Our ward councillor Cllr. Jonathan Lester, who is also the Leader of Herefordshire Council, attends most meetings and reports on County matters and takes on board any questions.
There are many local issues, some of which are noted in the news section of the website plus many others, such as the addressing of safety around Ashperton Bridge, the speeding along the A4172 between Trumpet & Prestons’ Cross, saving our lost footpaths, sandbags, flooding and many more.
Some of the issues may seem very mundane, however these are all issues which impact the locally community on a daily basis. There are many other matters that could be addressed but without the numbers of councillors could be left on the back burner.
If you feel you could contribute, please contact the clerk by email clerk@pixley-pc.gov.uk or just come along to the mext meeting.
